Republic Day

• Every year, our Republic Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm among the RSP Cadets. Marching along with the officer’s of the Army, Navy, Police etc., is indeed a matter of pride for RSP cadets.
• Totally 3 contingents (Boys, Girls & RSP Band) participate in the march past held on the beach road (from Light House to Madras University)
• Every year, training is given ( by a selected team of traffic warden’s) for 7 days to all students sent from city schools.
• Out of these, 52 boys & 52 girls are selected to form the final marching contingent.
• The whole process takes almost 20-25 days of hard work.

Independence Day

• Every year, on the Independence Day we take about 1200 cadets to Chennai Fort area for the Flag hoisting ceremony.
• All cadets are picked up from their respective schools. To ensure their safety, a traffic warden is assigned to each participating school.
• At the venue, they are provided biscuits, water packets. Small sized hand Flags are provided to all cadets. On their return, breakfast is given.
