Tamil Nadu Police Traffic Warden Organisation

To assist the police department in regulating traffic at important junctions.
To organize Road Safety Patrol in all schools in Chennai City and to achieve the goals of traffic safety education from the Middle school upto Higher Secondary level.
To educate the Road Safety Patrol Cadets on Road Safety, Traffic rules and imparts training to manage traffic in front of their schools.
To organise awareness campaigns, lectures and film shows on road safety in the School, Traffic Junctions and at Various Public Places.
To co ordinate and maintain proper liaison with the Senior Officials of the Traffic Police Department for the effective implementation of the policies of education, road safety methods and rules to the school children.
To educate the public on Road Safety.

A Citizen of India.
Ordinarily reside or carry on business, trade or profession in Chennai City.
Is not below 25 years of age and not above 45 years of age on the date of appointment.
Be a Graduate.
Had not taken any active part in politics /or be a member of any political party.
Be physically fit.
Be willing and able to render voluntary and non-remunerative servicethrough the Traffic Warden Organisation.
Be in a position to purchase at his own cost his uniform equipment and badges.
Had not been convicted for any offence by any Court.
Should not be an officer of any regular auxiliary military unit or essential services or hold any honorary rank.
